- They should be an 8 pin 220/330 terminator pack, just the same as used on
- most older drives.

- James, I would be interested in knowing what revision the motherboard in
- your brothers machine is. The terminators you took from the drive are the
- right ones, just be sure to put them in the right way around, or they will
- not have the right value and may cause errors, but no damage. If the
- markings on the service schematic are correct, the label on the SIPP should
- face the back of the 3000.
-
- Just a thought, depending on the age of your brothers machine, you may want
- to check the clock battery for signs of corrosion. If it is close to 5 years
- old, it may be due for replacement before long, and it also needs to have
- the motherboard removed to change it. You could kill 2 birds at once by
- adding sockets for the terminators at the same time.
-
- It's beginning to look like C= did a few strange things at certain points
- in the 3000's manufacturing, from the number of different accounts that
- have been posted. One _could_ make a semi-logical case for soldering
- terminators on a hard card that was not intended to have more internal
- drives added to it, but the person that decided to solder terminators onto
- a motherboard should be drawn & quartered. Sooner or later they would
- probably have to be removed.
